This is something I threw on over the weekend when I had to go into work with my husband. We were going to try to have a weekend to relax together, but work kind of got in the way…(Trying to plan a weekend away instead!) That’s also part of the reason I wasn’t posting on the blog over the weekend, though I promise I’ll catch up this week. The dress is a maternity style from Heart and Hips that I picked up at Marshall’s. I tried to find it online but couldn’t, so I linked some similar styles above.
I’m finally getting to that point in my pregnancy where dresses are way more comfortable than pants…so of course I’m going to stock up on cheap, cute styles like this. The stripes are so versatile too! I love how easy it is to pair with a solid colored jacket. The sneakers were a perfect choice for me this weekend because although they have a wedge/hidden heel, they’re still super comfy and easy to walk around in. We were able to stop by a walking trail and old train station in the area after he got off work and spent the afternoon exploring a little bit.
It was probably one of the nicest days we’ve had this year, as far as weather goes. So of course lots of people were out and about. I’m actually surprised I didn’t get a shot with someone in the background. My husband was so patient and willing, despite us both being upset about him being called into work on “our” weekend. We’re trying to plan a baby-moon for the end of this month, so be on the lookout for information on that! We also ate at a vegan cafe for the first time ever (for either one of us). It was kind of by accident, but we definitely didn’t regret it. Neither one of us are vegan or vegetarian, in fact I’m positive my husband couldn’t survive without beef jerky! We got a breakfast burrito which ended up being rice, beans, avocado, and spinach with some spices (not spicy, but very flavorful). My husband said it would have been the best burrito he’d eaten …if it only had chicken in it. Both of us enjoyed it though, and I would definitely recommend the cafe to anyone in the area! They have great coffee too. The name of it is Veggie Esperanto and they have their own website, located here. On another note…look at the picture of me from the back – you can’t even tell I’m pregnant!
